Gold Trade Recap – Scraping a Win Out the Swap
Yesterday I opened a small gold trade (0.004 lot size) at $3384 to do a scalping trade, until it shot down straight after! I held it overnight, and woke up to see it down even more, gold had dipped to around $3360. It started climbing throughout the morning and nearly tapped my original take profit at $3390... then of course, typical gold, it reversed straight back to my entry.
After watching it hover for a while, it finally edged up to 3386. I quickly adjusted my take profit and then cashed out... and right on cue, it spiked past 3390. Still, I managed to sneak out with the smallest Win, just enough to cover the swap fee and end up slightly in profit.
Not a big win by any means, but a solid reminder how quickly price action can turn. Sometimes it's about staying in the game and keeping the practice sharp.
